I auditioned for The Pajama Game today, and I think it went reeeeaaaally well. I know it's community theatre, and pretty much everyone gets in, but still. I'm pleased. And now? The waiting!
The president of the Pictou District Honour Choir posted this on YouTube. It was taken in Whistler on the choir's trip... two years ago, I think. The year after I left the choir. It makes me miss my younger choir friends, especially Laura, the one with the solo at the end.
I married Shawn Majumder. He was absolutely GORGEOUS in my dream, and in a wheelchair. I thought I was going to be late for the wedding, because I was shopping. I got this really nice tweed jacket for $2.49, though! I was rushing to where we were getting married, and I swear it was the library at Northumberland. He was waiting outside the door, and I was all, "OMG I'm late! I'm so sorry! I love you! OMG!" But I wasn't late. Anyway, we walked up the aisle together. Then the minister, or whoever started giving, like, a lecture about accepting people. She had a PowerPoint presentation, and asked questions to the... audience, congregation, whatever. Somewhere along the way, the lecturer/minister kind of faded off, and we took it upon ourselves to declare ourselves married and kiss for the crowd.
After tossing and turning, I finally fell asleep around 4:00 last night (er, this morning). And I had such a crazy dream!
I was a member of the "Mythbusters" team. Right alongside Tory, Grant, and Kari. I don't think we were on TV, though; just hanging out. And we weren't in the workshop/garage where the show takes place, we were in a big house. I think there were some renovations going on. There was this long, wide hallway, like at a school... Only one of the hosts of the show, Jamie, were there. He came in driving a Volkswagon (down the hallway)... it had a fur coat type thing on the roof. I was sitting on a couch against one wall of the hallway, with Kari and Tory. And then I started to sing the song from that flash video, "The Ultimate Showdown".
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?! I didn't watch Mythbusters yesterday, or even think about. SO weird.
You are driven and ambitious - totally self motiviated to succeed Actively working to acheive what you want, you are skillful in many areas. You are a natural predator with strong instincts ... and more than a little demanding. You are creative, energetic, and an extremely powerful force.
An outdoors person, you like animals and relate to them better than people. You tend to have an explosive personality, but also a good sense of humor. People sometimes see you as arrogant or a know it all. You tend to be a bit of a loner, though you hate to be alone.
Souls you are most compatible with: Seeker Soul and Peacemaker Soul
*These amounts are for 4 chicken breasts, but you really don't need to measure.
2 tsp. olive or cooking oil 2 tsp. curry powder 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. packed brown sugar 1/8 tsp. ground allspice 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper
Mix together into a paste. Rub on both sides of all chicken breasts.
Cook on preheated electric grill or gas barbeque (heated to medium) for about 5 minutes on each side until no longer pink inside. You can also do it in your oven under the broiler (but be careful... see previous post for how I caught my chicken on fire, eep!). Put the rack about 4 inches/10 cm. from the element on a greased broiler pan.
If anybody wants to know how to cook chicken under the broiler, here you go: Cook until kitchen fills with smoke. Wave dish towel at smoke detector and open all windows. Turn chicken over, cook until flames form on chicken. Wave towel at smoke detector again, and cry a little. Serves one.
But it was really good. I'll stick the recipe up here later. Yum.
A trailer for "Ask The Dust". Colin Farrell, Salma Hayek, Justin Kirk, and Idina Menzel. Now on my must-see list.
And then there's "Rhinoceros Eyes", which was made awhile ago but is only now being released. Starring Gale Harold... that's enough reason for me to go see it! It's apparently a horror film, but it doesn't look THAT scary from the trailer.
